Phillip Henderson, age 63, formerly of Sidney, passed away April 16, 2019, at Mount Carmel East Hospital in Columbus.

Phillip was born May 5, 1955 in Jackson, Mississippi, to the late Tommy Lee Henderson Sr. and Vera Wells Henderson. On June 17, 1989, he married Sharon (Daniel) Henderson and she survives.

Also surviving are children; Cherita (Kevin) Marcus of Sidney, Phillip Henderson of Columbus, Kenneth Henderson of Lima, grandchildren; Kaniya Marcus, Keliyah Marcus, Kiara Marcus, Kevin Marcus, Keshawn Marcus, Jonah Mays, Jamelle Henderson, Latrelle Henderson, Demonte Henderson, Julius Henderson, Phillip Henderson, Philliana Henderson, Xavier Henderson, Taylyn Davis, Kenneth Henderson, Cadence Henderson, siblings; Tommy (Betty) Henderson of Sidney, Phyllis McClellan of Sidney, Kenneth (Tammy) Henderson of Sidney, Anita (Fitzroy) Cuffy of Lima, Jerry (Betti) Jones of Douglasville, GA., Sandra Jones of Douglasville, GA., Willie (Deborah) Jones of Sidney, and sister-in-law, Cynthia Davis of Lima, and a host of niece's, nephews and friends. Phillip is also survived by very special friends; Sam Madden and Jay Nance.

He was preceded in death by grandson, Kordell Lee, brothers; Ronald Davis, Gary Henderson, Robert Wells and Wilburt Jenkins, nephew, Torey Henderson and niece, Robin Brown.

Phillip proudly served in the US Army. He was a member of the Pillar and Foundation of Truth Church in Newark. He attended Lima Public Schools. He was employed as a machinist for many years. Phillip enjoyed watching westerns, the cooking channel and HGTV. He loved spending time with his family, grandkids and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Family and friends may visit from 6 -- 8 p.m. on Monday, April 22, 2019, at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the House of Prayer-Church of God, 324 Grove Street, Sidney. Internment will follow with full military honors at Graceland Cemetery, Sidney.
