Mrs. Betty Sue (Key) Parks, age 77 of Ellijay, GA passed away on Tuesday, April 16th, 2019 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Braselton, GA.
Mrs. Parks was born on June 13th, 1941 to her late parents Arthur Grady Key and Augusta Inez Bates. She was a member of the Rock Creek Baptist Church in Cherry Log and loved to crochet.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, April 19th from the Rock Creek Baptist Church with Rev. John Newton and Rev. Jeff Hollifield officiating. Music and vocals will be by Lowell Davis and Barry Abernathy. Interment will follow in the Rock Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Mark Hice, Bryan Roper, Morgan Tinker, Saylor Tinker, Steve Tinker, and D’wayne Davenport all serving as pallbearers.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy Parks of Ellijay, GA; son, James Parks of Copper Hill, TN; grandchildren, Kaylyn Morrow, Kevin Parks, Gusty Parks, Jessie Parks, Jacob Parks, and Chloe Parks; siblings, Buddy Key of Cumming, GA and Carolyn Key Gray of Ellijay, GA; aunt, Dorothy Roper of Ellijay, GA, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Flowers are acceptable or donations can be made to the Rock Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund c/o Mark Hice at 202 Bates Rd. Ellijay, Ga 30540 in memory of Mrs. Parks.
