Bobbie Harris Baker, age 89, of Marion, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, April 16, 2019.
Born August 15, 1929, Bobbie was the last of six children born to the late Samuel and Belle Harris.
Bobbie’s loving and compassionate heart served her well when she became a Nurse. She was a long time member of Cross Memorial Baptist Church and a talented artist and seamstress.
In addition to her parents and siblings Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband, George B. Baker Sr., and three grandchildren; James, Robert and Amara.
Bobbie is survived by two sons; David Harris of Tulsa, Oklahoma, John Baker and his wife Melissa of Pineville, a step-son Paul Baker and his wife Frances of Marion, and a step-daughter Alice Puett and her husband Lloyd of Marion. Bobbie was also blessed to be a grandmother to four grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, three great grandchildren and twelve step-great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 4:00 p.m at Cross Memorial Baptist Church in Marion with Revs. Ryan Bennett and Doug Prevette officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Cross Memorial Park.
