Angela Jane Burleson Payne, 42, died Sunday, Nov. 28, 2004, as the result of a house fire at her home in Mooreville. She was born Feb. 26, 1962, in Lee County to Paul and Wanda Mears Burleson. She grew up and lived most of her life in the Mooreville and Mantachie areas. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She designed and made beauty pageant clothes for young ladies all over Northeast Mississippi. She was a member of a weekly dart team. She was beloved by her family and many friends.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Kerry Nelson and Minister Jimmy Bates officiating. Burial will follow in the Center Star Cemetery at Mantachie.

Survivors include her husband, Mickey Lee Payne of Mooreville; her parents, Wanda and Paul Burleson of Mooreville; a daughter, Rebekah Payne of Mooreville; a son, Douglas Payne of Mooreville; two stepchildren, Anna Brown of Hattiesburg and Cody Payne of Pearl; a sister, Paula Dunaway of Saltillo; a brother, Mike Burleson of Saltillo; three grandchildren; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Belle and Bogan Cummings of Shannon.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Corben Brown.

Pallbearers will be Glen Reeves, Larry Sullivan, Wayne Hatcher, Rickey Hatcher, Steve Welch and Randy Welch.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from noon to service time Wednesday.
