Kathryn Grace Campbell passed away on July 21, 2018 in Sacramento, California after a seven-year battle with cancer. She was born in Bozeman on October 5, 1961 to John A. and Patricia Campbell. She attended Bozeman Public Schools, graduating from Bozeman Senior High in 1980. After completing a year at Montana State University, she graduated from National College in Rapid City, South Dakota.
Kathryn was a travel agent in Albuquerque, New Mexico for several years, and then worked for America Airlines in Tulsa, Oklahoma before settling in Sacramento, where she worked fro SABRE. There, her work entailed traveling the western United States training travel agents to use their latest software. She loved to travel and enjoyed tours and cruises to many parts of the world. When the travel industry downsized, she spent her final years working at Pet Smart, SuperCuts, and a company selling TV/internet/telephone bundles.
She loved animals. Besides taking care of her own dogs, she volunteered countless hours working at animal shelters, even while struggling with cancer.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her father, John A. Campbell. She is survived by long time companion, Mesiah Mehdi, mother, Patricia (Herman) Vander Vos, sisters, Joyce (Howard) Vander Vos and Jackie Campbell as well as nephew, John Cooper and nieces, Melissa (Eric) Dale and Abra (Shane) Kair.
A graveside service will be held at the Sunset Hills Cemetery in Bozeman on September 14 at 1 p.m. followed by an open house at the home of Howard and Joyce Vander Vos, 7070 Nash Road, Bozeman.
