Edward H. Mullins, 73, of Eaton, OH, passed away Tuesday morning April 16, 2019 at his home. Born January 9, 1946 in Middletown, OH, he was a son of the late Robert H. and Sally Mae (Gibson) Mullins. Mr. Mullins served with the US Army for a total of 4 years and 4 months in both Korea and Vietnam. He was a Medical Specialist earning the Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Aircraft Crewman Badge, Air Medal with 9th Oak Leaf Cluster, the Army Commendation Medal with “V” Device, the Good Conduct Medal, and 2 Overseas Bars. For over 20 years he worked as an owner operator as an over the road truck driver, retiring in 2009. He was a founding member of the Lakengren Ski Team; had served as a member and Past President of the Lakengren Property Owners Association; was a life member of VFW Post # 8066 of Eaton; and enjoyed spending time on his houseboat. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death on December 17, 2001 by beloved wife Marsha J. (Back) Mullins, whom he married February 14, 1966; and brother and his wife David and Diane Mullins.

Survived by daughters Kimberly McCappin and Jody (Greg) Smith all of Eaton; grandchildren Kaitlin (Jonathan) Stacy, Chase Smith and Nathaniel Gose; great grandchildren Payton, Landon, Elyn and Sawyer Stacy; sisters Floriene (Martin) Cox of Carlisle, OH and Kitty (Larry) Steele of Franklin, OH; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Friends may call on the family from 12:00 - 2:00 PM Saturday, April 20, 2019 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria, OH. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM with Elmo Johnson presiding. Services will conclude at the graveside with military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard and members of the US Army. Burial Preble Memory Gardens.
