He was born January 9, 1944 in Blackfoot, Idaho the son of Edward Queep Boyer and Olive May Burns Boyer.
William lived in the Fort Hall area his entire life other than his time spent in the military.
He attended Snake River High School.
William had a 20 year career in the Air Force and served all over the world. He was honorably discharged as Master Sergeant E7.
On April 17, 1961, he married Rosemary Smith and four children were born to this union. They were later divorced. He married Thelma Watchman and a son was born. He married Patricia Carter on July 7, 1989.
William was proud of his affiliation with the US Air Force and his association with his fellow comrades.
He was a businessman and after his military service he went through McDonalds management and had a hand in many of the Shoshone Bannock Tribal Enterprises. He was currently working in security at the Fort Hall Casino.
He loved dogs, cruising on his lawn mower, and enjoyed family barbecues.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia of Fort Hall; children, Terrie (Gerald) Bartausky of Blackfoot, William C. Brower of Denver, Colorado, Michelle (Glenn) Florence of Pocatello, Christine Brower-Farmer (Bob) of Pocatello and Starbuck Brower of Nevada; siblings, Genavive, Lionel, LaNada, Merlin, Sandra, Tzonah, Claudine; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his biological parents Olive and Ed Boyer and his adoptive parents Phyllis and William Brower, siblings Metazina, Dwayne and Dennis.
A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, April 19th at 2 p.m. at Hawker Funeral Home. He will be buried at the Gibson Cemetery.
