Mrs. Nickell died June 24, 2004, at her home. She was born March 22, 1914, at Linn to Roy and Nora Thompson. She lived in the Allen and Lula area all her life, and attended schools at Wapanucka, Mill Creek and Gerty.
She and Boyd Nickell were Feb. 24, 1930, at Allen. He died in November 1977. Mrs. Nickell was a homemaker and a member of Allen Church of Christ.
Mrs. Nickell was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Nickell and a sister, Gertrude Red.
Survivors include two daughters, Pat Eaton and husband Bob, Allen, and Laura Nickell, Arpelar; three sons, Wayne Nickell and wife Brenda, Midland, Texas, Don Nickell and wife Fronia, Humble, Texas, and Kenny Nickell and wife Janet, Allen; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Bearers are Ronnie Nickell, Jerry Nickell, Michael Nickell, Johnny Nickell, Ronnie Nickell and Kenny Nickell.
