Debra Lu (Rawdon) Carter, 60, of Sapulpa went to be with our daughters in Heaven on Monday, April 15, 2019 at Hillcrest Medical Center, Tulsa, OK. Debbie, as she was known, was born on June 30, 1958 to parents, who preceded her Luther Albert and Clara Ann (Dunbar) Rawdon in Tulsa, OK.

She is survived by husband, Allen G. Carter of the home; sons, James Dow Carter with Amelya Anastasia Watashe, age 5, of the home; son, Justin Allem Carter and wife, Linsay Nichole Carter with our grandchildren, Grant Dause Carter, age 20, of Tulsa, Brayden Justice Carter, age 16, Cruz Gentry Carter, age 5, and Lyric Jolie Carter, age 4 all of Berryhill, OK; Valerie Smittle and husband, Jerry with Ethan Smittle of Tulsa, OK; J. P. Smittle and Wes Smittle of Inola, OK; brother, Barry Rawdon, of Tulsa, OK; nieces, Heather Buck and Michelle Buck both of Tulsa, OK; sister, Stacey (Rawdon) Pulley and husband, Gussie of Kellyville, OK; nephews, Christopher Fuller and wife, Becca of Sapulpa, OK; Cody Fuller and wife, Tia of Hectorville, OK; and nieces, Olivia Fuller and Brenin Fuller both of the home.

Debbie graduated from Sapulpa Class of 1976 and went on to further education with courses from OSU and Accounting courses online.

Debbie met her husband, Allen where both were employed at Unit Rig and Equipment Tulsa. They were married on September 1, 1978, over 41 years together.

Debbie moved on to Tulsa County Treasurer’s Office and ascended to one of two Bookkeepers with 21 years’ service upon leaving. Debbie became employed with National Bus Sales with over 20 years as Office Business Manager. Her daily functions were numerous. She loved her job. Debbie loved to be “Mama Bear” to all the shop guys. Her loyalty and compassion for all the employees will be greatly missed. Her love for the owners and sons were special.

Debbie touched many lives. Debbie leaves behind many cousins, aunts on Rawdon and Dunbar side.

Debra’s passions for a good book, simple things, love of horses, fishing, boating, camping, gardening, and of course her two cocker spaniels.

A devoted wife, mother, aunt, grandmother to all her family. A positive person all her life, Debbie will be greatly missed by all.

Funeral services were held at 10 am on Friday, April 19, 2019 at Smith Funeral Home, 1208 S Main St, Sapulpa, OK. Interment followed at Kellyville City Cemetery, Kellyville, OK. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, 1208 S Main St, Sapulpa, OK.
