Michael Todd Pate, Sr.
February 20, 1963 – April 5, 2019

Michael Todd Pate, Sr., 56, of Salem, Va. passed away on Friday, April 5, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his family.

He was born on Wednesday, February 20, 1963 in Roanoke, Va. to the late Ernest Jackson and Barbara Jean Brown Pate. Michael faithfully spent the last 25 years of his life working for A.H. Harris & Sons Construction Supply located in Roanoke, Va. When he wasn’t at work, you may find him doing a little fishing, spending time with family, or taking care of a little yard work; all of which he thoroughly enjoyed! Michael also had a unique connection with his jeep, but his family was most important to him. He especially enjoyed time with his grandson Landon! Landon was certainly the apple of his eye.

Family remaining to cherish his memory includes his wife of 28 years, Katherine K. Pate; son, Michael Todd Pate, Jr.; grandson, Landon Jackson Pate, all of Salem; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

To honor Michael’s wishes, all services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Michaels honor to the American Cancer Society; P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123, or by visiting https://www.cancer.org/involved/donate/memorial-giving.html.
