Darla was born on January 16, 1960 in Olney, IL, the daughter of James and Mary (Burgin) Charles.
She married Paul Williams on April 21, 1979 in Fayette, AL and he survives her.
Darla spent her entire life loving. She loved her parents and brother, husband, children, and grandchildren. But beyond that every person she crossed paths with earned a spot on her prayer list and in her heart. If Darla knew you, you were family to her. She enjoyed being outside planting in her garden, mushroom hunting, or catching a fish. She loved her front porch and her small town. She leaves behind so many loved ones, all her grandchildren, and those special children she considered hers too; Payton, Mason, Aubori, Ethan, Matthew, Destiny, Jacob, Kylie, Waylon, Wyatt, Makayla, Jayden, Aaron, Austin, Skyler, Taylor, and Jakey. Special love to all her cousins and uncle Ronnie. It is impossible to put into words what she meant to us.
Darla is survived by her husband, Paul Williams of Noble; sons, Paul A. (Lisa Rae) Williams, Bradley Joseph (Miranda) Williams, David Cole (Kelly) Williams, and James Tyler (Brooksy Bray) Williams; parents, James and Mary Jane (Burgin) Charles; 11 grandchildren and one on the way; brothers, Doug Charles, Danny Charles and Dwayne Charles; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Darwin Charles, and grandson, Waylon David Williams.
Memorials can be made to the family.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at the Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney with a visitation beginning one hour prior.
