Brenda was born to Kenneth and Ardeth Baker Kuck on December 23, 1954 in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Her family moved to the Milton area when she was in her teens and she spent the rest of her life in southeast, Iowa. For a time, she was a computer programmer for Fairfield Glove but gave up that job to become a full-time farmer with husband Alan. They raised two sons and found time to travel all around the country and beyond. Brenda loved to garden, quilt, spend time with her granddaughters, ride bicycles (having ridden across the United States four times), paddle her kayak (including a trip down the main Salmon River in Idaho when it was running at 10,000 cfs.), canoe, hike, backpack, read, dance, call numbers for the family Christmas bingo, and make sure there was always chocolate chip cookies around.
Brenda is survived by husband Alan Henderson; two sons Travis (Loree) Henderson and Art (Lesley) Henderson; brother Roger (Lee Ann) Kuck; parents Kenneth and Ardeth Baker Kuck; four grandchildren, Isabelle, Alexis, Savannah and Emily; and friends from all around the country.
