Ray Keith Black, 83, of Greencastle, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2019.

He was born Oct. 29, 1935 in Greencastle, the son of Paul and Louisa (Lewis) Black.

He was a 1954 graduate of Greencastle High School.

Ray retired from Teamsters Local 135, where he had worked several years as a truck driver.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara (York) Black; son, Jimmy (wife Margo) Black; daughter, Kathy (husband,Allen) Gibson; sister, Laconda (husband Harvey) King; two half-sisters, Norvetta and Willena; five grandchildren, Jessica, Zachary, Mitch, Bradi and Jaren; five great-grandchildren, Davis, Charlotte, Ben, Eli and Alessa.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Ardella and Onieda.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 18 at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations in Ray's memory are made to the donor's favorite charity.
