Jason H. Owens, 40, of Goshen, Ind., passed away Thursday afternoon, Dec. 26, 2013, at his residence. Jason was born on Sept. 19, 1973, in Evansville, to Cheryl (Reitmeyer) Owens. He married Melanie K. Irelan on Aug. 3, 1996, in Goshen.. Melanie survives, as well as their children, Austin F. and Taylor L. Owens at home; his mother, Cheryl Combs of Cory; brother, Craig Owens of Florida; grandparents, John and Fern Reitmeyer of Cory; and an aunt, Jennifer Reitmeyer of West Lafayette.. Jason was a manager for several area Walgreen’s Stores for 12 years. He graduated from Indiana State University in 1996 with a BA in business. Jason enjoyed hunting, fishing and classic cars, owning a 1966 Ford Mustang.. Services celebrating Jason’s life will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 30, 2013, with calling hours starting at 9 a.m. at Bristol United Methodist Church, 201 S. Division St., in Bristol, Ind. The Rev. Fred Stayton will officiate. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, please share memorials to Bristol United Methodist Church for the Owens family.
