Jane Elizabeth Gravely Bryant of Blairsville, GA passed away on November 20, 2018. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Ray Bryant, daughters Sally Ritch (Billy Phillips) of Troutman, NC and Martha Ritch (Chris Moore) of Alpharetta, GA, grandchildren Ellen Phillips, Kevin Phillips, Neal Phillips, Ryan Moore, and Jonathan Moore. She was predeceased by her mother Sara Ligon Gravely Owens and her father Arthur Gravely.

Jane was born May 29, 1939 in Pickens, SC. She was a 1956 graduate of Grimsley High School and a graduate of Greensboro College in Greensboro, NC. After graduating, Jane worked at the Federal Home Loan Bank in Greensboro and was transferred with the bank to Atlanta in 1972. After 17 years with the bank, she earned her real estate license and began selling for Great West Realty and Compton Realty in Douglasville, GA. As licensed brokers, she and her husband opened a Century 21 office in Douglasville where they built a full service company with 14 agents working on the sale of new and resale homes and commercial properties. Jane was named to the West Georgia Board of Realtors Million Dollar Club in 1986 and elected to their board of directors in 1989. She became president of the West Georgia Board of Realtors in 1995. Jane was honored as Realtor of the Year in 1989 and in 1990.

Jane had a passion for music and was a talented singer. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting and would often donate her work to families in need and to those serving our country. She volunteered as president of the band booster association with the Lithia Springs Comprehensive High School marching band, was a volunteer host during the 1996 Olympics, and was a hospital volunteer for Atlanta West-Parkway General Hospital. More than anything, "Mama Jane" was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Jane and her husband moved to Blairsville to rest and head toward retirement but continued to sell real estate and she worked part time for the Union-Towns Home Builders Association.

In her last days, she lived at Hope Memory Care in Duluth, GA and received excellent care from the staff and from Kindred Hospice.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, November 26, 2018, at Byrd and Flanigan 288 Hurricane Shoals Road NE in Lawrenceville, GA.
