Charlie “Chuck” Curtis Walker, age 79, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 20, 2019, at West Florida Hospital in Pensacola.

He was born April 27, 1939, in Woodville, Mississippi, to Curtis and Mittie (Owens) Walker. He proudly served eight years in the United States Navy, retiring in 1965. He married Maria Louise McMahon, on May 22, 1979, in San Leandro, California, sharing nearly forty years of marriage. He moved to Florida in 2016 to be closer to his family. He had a wonderful knack for sharing jokes and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Charlie was a member of the Reformation Lutheran Church in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he and Maria humbly served the Lord.

Charlie is preceded in death by his wife, Maria Louise Walker; his father, Curtis Walker; and his mother, Mittie Walker.

Charlie is survived by his daughter, Sharon (David) Northcutt; grandchildren Chris (Jennifer) Kohler, Sherrie Bell Joseph, John (Tessie) Bell, Stephanie Northcutt, Tonjia Pohlman, and Mark “Dusty” Joseph; great grandchildren, Christopher and AliceAnn Kohler, Gauge and Lillie Bell, Leina and Liam Joseph.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 20, 2019, at Lewis Funeral Home, Navarre Chapel (7794 Navarre Parkway, Navarre, FL 32566). Charlie will be laid to rest, with his wife, Maria, at Barrancas National Cemetery, at a later date.

Visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., prior to the service.
