Graveside services for Edwin(Eddie) Hawkins Gregory, 82, of Ellenwood, Ga., formerly of Benton, were Monday, Jan. 31, 2005, at Marshall County Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Gregory died on Thursday, Jan. 27, 2005, at his residence. He was a retired mechanic from Texas Gas. He was a Kentucky Colonel and a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII.
Survivors include: his son, David Gregory of Ellenwood, Ga.; and his sister, Vera Cox of Benton.
He was preceded in death by; his wife, Alline Gregory; two brothers, Roy and Arlie Gregory; and four sisters, Flora Bennett, Flossie Sledd, Belle (Jeannie)Poole, and Floy Stringer.
