LOGAN, UT.- On the date of February 29, 2000, Cleo Parrish Hatch, age 93, passed from this mortal world while residing at the Sunshine Terrace in Logan, Utah.

Born October 20, 1906, in Bountiful Utah, the eldest child of Milton Osborn and Amy Lazette Ashdown Parrish.

She married Clark Hatch, May 20, 1926, and they were later divorced in 1956.

Cleo loved working on the land as was evident in the family farm life in both Bountiful and Oakley, Utah. After moving to Logan, her cooking skills became more needed as she worked in kitchens at Jacob Lake, Arizona; Cody, Wyoming; Idaho Falls, Idaho; and Logan, Utah; and many friends were rewarded with exceptionally delicious meals. She was especially known for her pies. When retirement caught up to her about 20 years ago, she developed her skills and abilities at making pieced quilts and now hundreds of these quilts of all sizes, warm her family and friends.

Survivors include two daughters and one son, Gary (Miles) Flake of Logan, Utah; Wendy (Robert) Wood of Albion, Washington; and Clark (Evelyn) Hatch of Vernal, Utah. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and six great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by all of her brothers and sisters; one son, Wallace; two daughters, Velma Allred and Ranae Franson; two grandsons and one great great-granddaughter.

Burial is under the direction of the Allen-Hall Mortuary in Logan, Utah. On March 3, 2000, a viewing will be held in the Relief Society Room of the Woods Cross Third Ward, 1450 South 350 West, Bountiful, 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.; prior to the graveside service to be held at 2 p.m. in the Bountiful City Cemetery.
