Michael C. Easton, 50, of St. Simon’s Island, Ga., formerly of Bloomington, died Sunday at South East Georgia Medical Center in Brunswick, Ga.

Born July 4,1944, in Bloomington, he was the son of Claude C. and Esther L. (Stephens) Easton. He was a clinical psychologist/therapist at Shankman-Davidson Psychiatric Management Inc. and the stress crisis line in St. Simon’s Island.

He was a graduate of Bloomington High School and received a batchelor’s degree from Indiana University. He also attended Ball State and Michigan State universities, earned master’s degrees, and had taught at IU at Indianapolis and Ball State.

He was a member of the Catholic Church and was an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts.

Survivors include one daughter, one son, four brothers, one sister, his parents of Bloomington; two grandchildren; eight nieces and nephews; and one great-nephew.
