Frances Jean Spencer age 90 of Ferrum passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 in Rocky Mount Health and Rehab.
She was born on April 19, 1927 a daughter of the late John L. and Bertha Hudson Johnson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Noel Spencer; brothers, Millard Johnson, Harry Johnson, Henry Johnson, J. L. Johnson; sisters, Nell J. Price, Eva J. VanLear.
Jean is survived by her sister-in-law, Sue Johnson; and many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to help with funeral expenses and made directly to the funeral home.
Funeral services will be conducted from Maple Grove United Methodist Church 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 6, 2018 with The Rev. Peter Choi and The Rev. John Ingram officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church beginning at 1 p.m.
