SWEET HOME -- Martha Ellen Snyder, 44, of Sweet Home died Sunday at Lebanon Community Hospital.
She was born in Chehalis, Wash., to Albert and Martha (Houx) Rivers. She lived in Newport and Phoenix, Ariz., and moved to Sweet Home in the late 1980s.
A homemaker, Mrs. Snyder was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses and enjoyed Bible study. She also liked music and movies.
Surviving are daughters Aileen Schmidt of Waupaca, Wis., and Rachel Jane Hall of Fairbanks, Alaska; mother Martha River of Sweet Home; brothers Daniel Rivers of Sweet Home and William Rivers of Creswell; and sister Linda Arnold of Sweet Home.
Viewing will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Workman & Steckly Funeral Home. A memorial service for Mrs. Snyder will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Sweet Home Kingdom Hall. A graveside service will follow at Gilliland Cemetery.
