SHELTON, GWENDOLYN ZEANETTE, age 70 of Birmingham passed away December 31, 2008. Her husband, William Elbert Shelton, Jr. preceded her in death. Gwen had a deep love for animals and enjoyed oil painting.
Survivors include her daughter, Ella Shelton Hood (Alan); son: Michael Shelton (Jacquline); sisters: Helen Kehn (John) and Rosemary Powell-Slowik; brother, John J. Slowik, Jr. (Sue).
Her graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 5, 2009 at Oakwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday from 12:00 noon until service time at the funeral home.
Ridout's Gardendale Chapel is directing.
