Elizabeth A. (Heinen) Cole, “Liz” was born October 15th, 1934, in New Ulm, Minnesota, the youngest of five children. She studied in St. Paul at Saint Catherine’s College, and lived the rest of her life in Shakopee. She died April 12, 2019, age 84.

Liz worked as a math teacher, and religious education administrator. She enjoyed baking holiday cookies, family gatherings, traveling, sewing, ironing, and gardening. She loved her grand children and her husband Jack of 60 years.

Liz was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; infant sons, Mike and Joe; parents, Arthur and Claire (Neuwirth) Heinen; brothers, Art and Ray Heinen; sisters, Lorraine Meyer and Sister Mary Heinen. She is survived by her daughter, two sons, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Liz insists that instead of flowers, you please donate money to Shakopee Dollars for Scholars.
