Patricia Lin Stark, age 51, of Mercer, Missouri, the daughter of James Albert and Linda Kay (Dudley) Peek, was born October 27, 1967, in Des Moines, Iowa. She passed from this life on April 12, 2019, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
Patricia grew up in the Winterset, Lineville, and Clio, Iowa areas. She graduated from Lineville High School with the Class of 1986. In 1993, she started school at Indian Hills College in Centerville, Iowa to be a LPN. After graduation, she worked for about 10 years before going back to school at Indian Hills College in Ottumwa, Iowa to earn her RN degree. She worked several years for the Mercer School district before being a home health nurse for Mercer County, Missouri. Recently, she worked from home doing medical chart audits.
On April 2, 1994, she married Jesse Vernon Stark. His two children, Susan and Eddy, became part of her family and after their mother’s death, she became their full time mom.
In her free time, Patricia loved being with family. She enjoyed her grandchildren, traveling, cooking, crocheting, reading, and listening to country music. She liked Waylon Jennings.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Jim and Linda Peek; and sister, Connie Stark. Survivors include her husband, Jesse Stark of Mercer, Missouri; daughter, Susan Gott and husband, Shawn of Mercer; son, Eddy Stark and companion, Kayli Hostetter of Michigan; grandsons, Wesley and Brett Hashman of Mercer; siblings, Ronda Stark of Missouri; brothers, Jim Peek of Florida and Tim Peek of Iowa; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
