James Harry Bryson, 66, of Machesney Park, passed away on September 22, 2018 in William S. Middleton Veteran’s Hospital. Born April 26, 1952 in Dixon, IL. Son of Delbert Bryson and Joyce (Horton) Morhart. Lived in Polo, IL. Retired from the United States Army having served his country stationed in Germany, Korea and Alaska. He found great enjoyment in fishing, watching the Chicago Bulls, Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, Rockford Ice hogs, going to the Rockford Speedway and going to the Casino’s. He drove bus for Rockford, Peoria, Van Galder and for Hot Shot delivering blood. He umpired baseball at the Sport Score. Most of all he loved his family and going to church at First Baptist Church.

Survived by his loving wife, Carmen; sons, James Russel (Shawna) Bryson, Anthony Ray Bryson and Brandon Bryson; proud grandfather of Hailey, Caden, Sarah and Madison; half-sister, Debbie; step-sister, Peggy. Predeceased by his parents; brothers, Skip and Bob.

Celebration of Life Funeral Service at 10 a.m. on Saturday September 29 in First Baptist Church, 718 Harlem Rd, Machesney Park. Visitation on Friday September 28 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. in Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park. Burial following full Military Honors in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
