In 1968, Larry moved to Albion, Michigan when he was just 4 years old. He attended Albion Senior High School and graduated in 1982. After high school, he moved to Benton Harbor, Michigan with his older brother Elijah “Big June” Tanner Jr.
In 1984, he met the love of his life Vickie L. Calhoun and later their two sons Larry Jovon Logan Jr. and Julian Martreece Logan were born. Larry was employed at Wells Aluminum (now Hydro Extrusion), where he spent the last 30 years of his life working there to provide for his family, while accomplishing multiple milestones at the factory.
Larry was a true and devoted brother, father, grandfather and friend! He loved sports, especially basketball and golf. He was an outstanding player while at Albion Senior High. Larry was most definitely a proud father and always made sure he was there for his boys. Both sons played basketball and Larry made sure he never missed a game within reason. If he missed a game, he certainly obtained the stats and/or newspaper clippings, trophies, medals; anything they won! YES! Definition of a proud father!
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Logan Jr. and Passie Mae Logan; his brothers, Charles W Tanner, Joseph Autman and Willie James Logan.
Larry leaves to cherish his memories; the love of his life Vickie L Calhoun of Kalamazoo Michigan; children Larry Jovon Logan (Deziree) and Julian Martreece Logan (Kendra) both of Kalamazoo MI; brother Elijah Tanner Jr. of Kalamazoo MI; Rosie Coleman of Clarksville, Tennessee; Leon Logan of Albion MI; Dorothy Bates of Palm Bay Florida; Jo Ann (Moe) Miller of Columbus Ohio; Dixie “Dee” Drake of Columbus OH; Joyce (Bobby) Quarles of Lafayette Indiana.
