John Van Buren Crow was born in Georgia, probably in Murrary County, now the area of Crow Valley, Whitfield Co., GA. He was the son of Thomas Crow (1800-1884) and Mary "Polly" Cox Crow (1804-1876) who are both buried at the Poplar Spring Baptist Church Cemetery, Crow Valley, Whitfield, Georgia. These are our Gold DNA Crows.
John Van Buren Crow died some time after the 1900 Grayson Co., TX, census. He married Josephine Kirby in 1855 in DeKalb Co., AL. Both are buried in unmarked graves at Offutt Cemetery, I am told.
