Arlene Kay Murphy, 72, of Clinton, died Friday, December 21, 2012 at Mercy Living Center North.

Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Thursday, December 27, 2012 at the Clinton Church of Christ. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 PM, Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will Tyler Hook, Marcus Hook, Roman Dombrowski, James Valley, Allen Crowe and Burt Melvin.

Arlene was born June 28, 1940 in Clinton, Iowa the daughter of Lawrence and Agnes (Barber) Hull. She was a Clinton High School graduate. Arlene had been employed at Eagle’s Supermarket for more than thirty years prior to retiring. She was a member of the Clinton Church of Christ.

She is survived by her children, Donette Valley; Scott Simmons and Brenda (Marcus) Hook all of Clinton; grandchildren, James Valley of Clinton and Tyler and Marcus Hook of Boynton Beach, FL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Terry Simmons, brother, Lawrence Hull and sister, Carol Roeder.
