Paul was born October 9, 1949 in Brownsville, PA to the late Paul A. Woods, Sr. and the late Margaret Sims Woods. Paul was a 1967 graduate of Brownsville Area High School. He was drafted into the United States Air Force in 1968 and served his country for four years during the Vietnam War. During his time in the Air Force, Paul attended the Community College of the Airforce (Administrative). He was employed with Conrail Railroad as a Signalman until his retirement.
Paul was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates and Pittsburgh Steelers Fan; and was sure to play his daily number. He loved music, enjoyed sending daily inspirations to his friends and family, spent countless moments with his great- grandson, Kaiden, and he cherished a home cooked meal. Throughout his life and illness, Paul’s faith remained unshaken. He was known for his gifted words of encouragement with a “twist” and was known for speaking his mind.
Paul leaves to cherish his memory, his long-time companion and mother of his children, Lucille Calloway of Youngstown OH; children: Nikki (Demetrus) Calloway and Nicholas Calloway, all of Youngstown, OH; siblings: Ronald (Rebecca) Woods of Cardale, PA; Carolyn (Benny ) Mitchell of Jacksonville, FL; his twin, Paula (Edumud) Parsons of Cardale, PA; Theodore Woods of Brownsville, PA; David Woods of Uniontown, PA; Chucky (Carla) Woods of Hiller, PA; Kathleen Woods of Brownsville, PA; granddaughters: Lashay Rhania Calloway of Columbus, OH; Daja Byrd of Youngstown, OH; and Nick Tayje Callaway of Youngstown, OH; great-grandson, Kaiden Rivers of Youngstown, OH; and a host of other relatives and friends.
