Connie Frances Hicks, age 69 of Rocky Mount passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 in Carilion Clinic Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to everyone she came across. She will be missed by all.
Connie was born on September 30, 1947 a daughter of the late Elmer and Susie Sparks Smith. She was also preceded in death by three sons, Rufus Hicks, Jr., Sonny and Rodger Hicks.
She is survived by her loving husband, Rufus David Hicks, Sr.; sons, Greg, Earl, Hank (Crystal) and Grady Hicks; daughters, Alice Ebel (John), Lisa Kessler (Charles), Melissa Crimmins (David), Loretta Hicks, Amy Bayse, Lorrie Morgan (Cody); brothers, Jack and Ricky Smith; sister, Janice Smith. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted from Conner-Bowman Funeral Home Chapel 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 3, 2017 with Pastor John Collins officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethlehem Church of the Brethren Cemetery in Boones Mill.
