FARMINGTON – Darrell E. Barker, of Farmington, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2019 at Parkland Health Center at the age of 64. He was born on April 11, 1954 in Limestone, Maine to the late Robert Eugene Barker and Patricia (Kyle) Randall. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Barker and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Randall and his grandparents, Lyman and Maude Barker of Fredericktown.

After graduation from high school, Darrell proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Air Force for 20 years. While in the Air Force, he completed a tour in Turkey. During his military career, he also attained two Associates Degrees. After retiring, he worked as a contractor and served a year in Afghanistan in support of the U.S. Troops. Darrell was an avid hunter and fisherman and participated in tournaments and made fishing rods.

Darrell was married for 44 years to his best friend and the love of his life, Carol, who will cherish the memory of his loving, caring and generous spirit. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his wife, Darrell is survived by a brother, Mitchell (Becky) Barker, sisters, Cheryl (Kent) Dekker, Toni (Michael) Turnbaugh and Becky Luffy; nieces, Katie and Allison and nephew, John; two aunts, Betty Hicks and Shirley Gravett; sisters-in-law, Michelle Bruss; Regina Markus, Denise (Mark) Zona and brother-in-law, Phillip (Patti) Markus and other nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be Monday, April 15, 2019 at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 9:30am until time of service at 11:00am with Reverend Randy Sawyer officiating.
