Linda Joe Barry, 69, of Wichita Falls passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2019.
The family will receive friends between 6 and 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, 2019 at Owens and Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 15, 2019 at Charlie Cemetery with Mr. Jacob Hawk, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Owens and Brumley Funeral of Wichita Falls.
Linda was born on October 8, 1949 to the late Joe Wheeler and Katherine (Smith) Peters in Henrietta, Texas. She graduated Petrolia High School. While employed at Wichita Falls State Hospital, she met Sam Barry and the couple married in 1970 at the home of her parents in Charlie, Texas. Sam’s job moved his family to several locations and took time away from them. Linda raised the children and took care of the household in loving support of her husband. She enjoyed watching the Hallmark, Fox News, HGTV and the Food Network Channels. Linda was a loving wife, mother and “Nanny”. Family and many friends will miss her.
Along with her parents, Linda was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Fletcher and brother, Charles Peters.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Sam Barry: her children, Tammie Kroll and husband, David and Jeremy Barry and wife, Stacey; granddaughter, Zoe Barry; brother, Kenneth Peters; aunt, Inez Johnson; and many nieces and nephews.
