Patricia J. Norris 64, of Rushville, passed away April 9, 2019.
A Celebration of Life Service will be 3 PM Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Todd Funeral Centre & Crematory with Rev. Patrick Smith officiating. Visitation will be from 11AM until the the service. Burial will be in Orange North Cemetery.
Patricia was born in Rushville March 25, 1955 a daughter of Dewey C. Gossett and Wilma J. (Taylor) Piper. She married John W. Norris March 22, 1974 at Little Flatrock Christian Church, he survives. They were married 45 years.
She graduated from Connersville High School in 1973. She then went to work for GTE as an operator. She then went to work for Rush County for 38 years in several offices but retired as a Court Reporter. She and her husband enjoyed working as youth leaders years ago at the Little Flatrock Christian Church.
In addition to her husband , John, survivors include her mother, Wilma Piper of Connersville; one son, Justin (Wendi Tai) Norris of Valparaiso, IN; one daughter, Kearstyn (Aaron) Gilliam of Rushville; three beautiful grandchildren, Carter Gilliam, Ava & Wyatt Norris.
Patricia is also survived by a sister, Jenny (Mike) Coon, of Connersville, IN; three brothers, Thomas (Cathleen) Gossett of Connersville; Brad (Tammy) Gossett, of Connersville, IN; Brent Gossett, of Glenwood, IN; step siblings, Ralph Piper Jr., Angeline Powell, Brock (Amy) Powell, Jade (Michael) Brumfield, Christine (Luke) Nobbe; two sister-in-law's, Diane (Robert) Kelly and Joanne (David) Desrochers. Several nieces & nephews also survive
She was preceded in death by her father, Dewey Gossett; step father, Ralph E. Piper; step mother, Josie Gossett and step sister, Barb Thackery.
