Otto Gohn, aged 48, a farmer in Henrietta township, was killed in a runaway accident last Saturday night. His body was found beside the road near Puttleford by Casper Haehnle of Jackson.
Gohn had been in Jackson, and started for home after the saloons had closed. Apparently the team had started to run away near Puttleford. He was thrown from the rig, his foot catching in the bolster and he was dragged at least half a mile. Apparently he had lived several hours after the accident as his body was still warm when found.
The team arrived at the Gohn home about 3 o'clock Sunday morning, the wagon being marked with the dead man's blood. A widow and one son, living on the farm, and a daughter, residing in San Francisco, survive.
