On Aug. 31, 1949, he married Louan (Hosier) Pike who passed away on May 28, 2013. Charles retired from Delco Remy after several years of service where he was a member of the UAW #662. Charles enjoyed farming and loved spending time with his family.
Charles is survived by his two daughters, Diane (John) Jacobs of Alexandria and Rita (Roger) Hughes of Warsaw, five granddaughters, Rachel (Justin) Browning, Leah (Jon) Sturm, Stephanie (David) Cunningham, Sarah (Matt) Hiss and Gayle Hughes, seven great grandchildren, Hunter, Hannah, Lane, Kingston, Hayden, Will and Georgianna, two sisters, Barbara Petty and Esther Oyler both of Anderson, several nieces & nephews.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Lee & Mabel Pike, wife, Louan (Hosier) Pike, brother, Troy Pike and sister, Virginia Patz.
Services celebrating Charles's life will be at 1:00 pm Monday, April 15, 2019 at Harper & Dunnichay Funeral Home in Frankton. Burial will follow in the K. of P. and I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Frankton with full military graveside services conducted by the US Army and the Elwood VFW American Honor Guard Unit.
