Logan Chase Stone, infant, of Altavista, died Monday, April 16, 2001, in Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born Feb. 9, 2001, in Lynchburg, he was a son of Kyle Brent Stone and Debra Ryan Mayhew.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandparents, Connie and Larry Hall of Gladys; his paternal grandparents, Gwen and David Logwood of Hurt,; his maternal great-grandparents, Joyce and Herbert Payne of Altavista, Alfred and Lucille Mayhew of Gladys, and Lib and Lewis Hall of Gladys; his paternal great-grandparents, Kenneth and Geneva Thacker of Hurt, and Inez Stone of Altavista; and his maternal great-great-grandmother, Clara Callahan of Gladys.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 19, 2001, in Bethel Pentecostal Holiness Church, by the Rev. Todd Doolittle and the Rev. David Rowland. Interment will follow in the Thurman Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. tonight at Finch & Finch Funeral Home, Altavista, and other times at the residence.
