Brazil — Rex Orman Weger, 60, of Brazil passed away at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 9, 2007, in his residence under the close care of his family and the Hospice of the Wabash Valley. He was born March 21, 1947, in Terre Haute to Harry O. Weger and Docie Weger.

He is survived by his wife, Rachel Weger of Brazil; a son, Benjamin Weger and wife Christina of Indianapolis; a daughter, Natalie Butler and husband Matthew of Indianapolis; a grandson, Nicholas O. Weger of Indianapolis; his mother, Docie Weger of West Terre Haute; a brother, David Weger and wife Donna of Terre Haute; a sister, Vicki Weger and husband Ted Elbert of Terre Haute; nephew, Courtney Weger of Terre Haute; niece, Laura Tohill of Terre Haute; and an aunt, Edith Brown of Terre Haute.

He enjoyed life to its fullest while being outdoors, including fishing, hunting and gardening. He was very outgoing, had a great sense of humor, was a former scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 101, an avid video game player, a member of the West Terre Haute Masonic Lodge and a member of the Scottish Rite of the Wabash Valley.

Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Tuesday at French Funeral Home. Visitation is 5 p.m. until services Tuesday. Cremation will follow at his request. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Wabash Valley.
