Pearlie Mae matriculated through the Madison County school system and went on to Council Training High School. She had a passion for cooking and made a career as a Chef. She worked at several food places, but retired from Piccadilly after over 30 years of dedicated service. Even after retirement, she continued and loved to cook for loved ones. "Pearlie" Mae never refused to feed anyone and she cooked all holidays and family gatherings. Her delicious dishes will truly be missed.
Pearlie Mae was preceded in death by her parents: William and Ella Jones; sisters: Elizabeth Lykes, Mary Jones and Mattie Stewart; brothers: Jimmy Steger, Lawrence Jones and Robert Jones; granddaughter, Ashley Jones; great-grandchildren: Josiah Safford, Anyah Safford and Demetrius Douglas.
She leaves precious memories with sisters: Ella Jude of Huntsville, Alabama and Magaline Macon (Stanley) of Leta, Texas; one brother, Roosevelt Jones (Lorene) of Huntsville, Alabama; ten children: Robert (Denise) Jones, Charles Jones, James Jones, William (Vonda) Jones, David Jones, Billy Ray Jones, Bettye Jones, Barbara (Maurice) Hewlett, Elizabeth (Lawrence) Hewlett and Willie Mae Jones, all of Huntsville, Alabama; twenty-four grand children, forty-one great grandchildren and one great great-grandchild to be born and a host of nieces and nephews; two special long- life friends: Phoebe Matthews and Martha Ann Jackson.
Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, April 14, 2019, at the Royal Chapel of Memories with Bishop Theopolis Knowles officiating. Interment will be in Meadowlawn Garden of Peace. Public viewing for Ms. Jones will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., Saturday, April 13, 2019, and from 9:00 a.m., until service time at 3 p.m., Sunday, April 14, 2019, at the Royal Funeral Home.
