The Rev. Clinton D. Scott, 95, went from labor to reward on Thursday, July 6, 2017. The Rev. Scott was born to the late George and Evelyn Scott on November 22, 1921, in Roanoke, Va. He was a man of faith and the Pastor of Shower of Blessing and Goodwill Church of God in Christ. He served in the ministry for over 50 years. He was married to the late Margaret L. Scott; and survived by four daughters, Sandra Scott, C. Diane Ross (Joe Ross), Valerie Rasheed Dale, two sons, Clinton R. Scott (Jacqueline), Demetrius Scott (Laurie), Deatria Muse (Elder Stephen Muse); 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and survived by siblings, one sister, Mary Minter; and one brother, James Scott; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members. The home going celebration will be held Tuesday, July 11, 2017, at noon at Pilgrim Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Monday, July 10, 2017, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Pilgrim Baptist Church. Interment will be held at Williams Memorial Park.
