Marilyn Kay Ritchie Cooper, 70, of Charleston, daughter of the late Thurman and Autha Lucille Ritchie, died Tuesday April 9, 2019 at home. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sonya Kay Cooper Coughlin; brothers, Blaine Ritchie, and Robert Ritchie; and sister, Joyce Hicks.

Surviving, beloved husband of 52 years, John Cooper, Sr; sons, John "Jay" Cooper, Jr. (Leslie), Michael E. Cooper (Buffy); grandchildren, Kay Marie Cooper, Dustin Cooper, Marcus Weeks, Vicki Cooper, Bryan Ernst, Sierra Cooper, Zoie Nicholas, Gabriel Cooper, and Rune Teel; five great-grandchildren; brother, Donny Ritchie; sisters, June Williams, Lenny Denman, Laura Lee Murphy, and Pammy White; and many nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m., on Friday, April 13, at Loudendale Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Chuck Pennington officiating. According to Marilyn's wishes, the body has been cremated with the assistance of Good Shepherd Mortuary, South Charleston.
