Beth was born October 31, 1950, in Grafton, WV, a daughter to the late Charles Benjamin and Freda Alice (Doak) Guthrie.
Beth started working in the Doddridge County Courthouse as the Deputy Clerk and for the past 8 years, she has served as the elected County Clerk for the residents of Doddridge County, WV. She was a longtime member of the West Union Christian Church where she played the piano and she also played the piano for the Doddridge County cantatas for many years. She was a proud graduate of Doddridge County High School with the class of 1968 and a member of the West Union Lions Club, Order of Eastern Star 56, and the Association for County Clerks. Beth loved reading, music, jigsaw puzzles, baking, and she was a very sociable person in her community.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Neely; grandchildren, Sarah, Brittany and Trey; great-grandson, Tatum; first cousins, Darlene McKinney and Tom Doak (Anna); caregiver and special daughter, Lilly Sanders and her entire family; along with other dear friends of hers. She also leaves behind her precious animals, Bear, Tanner, Minibell and Callie.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her special grandson, Zachary and 2 uncles.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, April 15, 2019, at the McCullough Rogers Funeral Home, Pennsboro, WV, with Pastor Joe Schneider officiating. Burial will follow in the Wilbur Cemetery in Tyler County, WV. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home and from 9 a.m. until time of service on Monday.
