Graveside services for JoAnn Morris, 88, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Forest Park East Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held at Rose-Neath Southside from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the graveside service.
JoAnn was born October 2, 1930 in Shreveport, LA and went to be with the Lord on April 9, 2019. She retired from the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office. She was a member of the Eastern Star Queensboro Lodge.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents, Frances and Esther Coleman; husband of 55 years, Spencer V. Morris; daughter, Cindy Priess; and sisters, Francis and Elizabeth. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Michael Morris and wife Terri; grandchildren, Shannon and Louis, Amanda and Jason, Shawn and Colleen, Holly, Brittany, Logan, Hunter, Trey and Melissa, BJ and Erica, Mandy; and great-grandchildren, Thomas, Courtney, Sierra, Taylor, Riley, Hannah, Michael, Rylee, Parker, Baby DuRant, Kyla, and Jaxen.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
