H. M. Massey, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Massey was born on May 16, 1870 at Highland County, Iowa and passed away at his home in Topeka, Kansas April 30, 1948 at the age of 77 years, four months, and 15 days.
At the age of eleven years, he and his parents moved to Frankfort, Kansas. He was united in Marriage to Emma Missige (sp) in 1890 and to this union four children were born, all of whom have preceded him in death.
He devoted most of his life to farming in this community, moving to Topeka in 1935. He was a kind husband and father and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He leaves to mourn his passing, four sisters, Mrs. Amanda Pickler and Mrs. Leona Cullimore of Frankfort; Mrs. Eva Kunz, Council Grove, and Mrs. Cynthia Lesson of Savannah.
