Bettye Dean “Nana” Wilson, Heaven called a true angel on earth home on October 29, 2017. Nana was a hero and important influence to her family and a friend to all. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, service, and friendship. Her family and the babies were the center and most important part of her life, but she was always there for those in need to lighten their load. She had a big heart and always saw the good in people. She touched many lives and never gave up on anyone. She always made people feel special, wanted, and loved. She was very sweet, strong, caring, and courageous woman who lived a good life. Everyone loved Nana. Someone once said that, “If Nana does not get into Heaven, no one will.” She was the rock of her family and leaves a huge hole in our hearts. We were not ready to give her up, but we know God needed her more. Nana was retired from the Kentucky State Fair Board where she was an assistant controller. She also founded Harrison Realtors with her son, Steve in 1991. She was a member of Grace Community Baptist Church and the Order of The Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernie and Clyde Jones; husband, George Lee Wilson; daughter, Judy Oehler; and brother, Rollie Jones.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Steve Harrison (Connie) and Bruce Harrison; grandchildren, Eddie O’Riley (Terrie), Bobby O’Riley (Gina), Tina Plahuta (Greg), Jamie Hodge (Billie), Kelly Harrison (Tomas), Kristen Mason (Tate); 9 great grandchildren; 14 great, great grandchildren; siblings, June DeArmond, Tom Jones, and Wayne Jones; and son-in-law, Walter Oehler.

A Funeral Service will be Wednesday, November 1st at 2:00pm at Evergreen Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4:00pm-7:00pm at the funeral home.

The family wishes to offer a special thanks to the Dr. Jane Cornett and the entire staff at the Episcopal Home. They took good care of Bettye/Nana and loved her.
