As a child, David was very thoughtful and sensitive with great artistic talent. David had attended Frankfort Senior High School. At the time of his death, he was enrolled in college classes.
He became a journeyman roofer, working on both the dome at Frankfort High School Gymnasium and Schliemann Hall at Purdue.
Surviving David are his 4 children, 3 brothers, , 10 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his sister, Sharon Alter, and brother, Terry McQueen.
A memorial service to celebrate David's life will be held April 13, 2019, at Victory Chapel in Frankfort.
