Roy was the son of Chassie Arthur and Arvil S. Frazier, and was married to Erlene Maynor the 29th of September 1956 at her home, officiated by Rev. Verdine Blackwell. They were parents of Jill, Ricky and Randy.

Although Roy was an only child, he had a close cousin 'sister' Trenlo Frazier who was raised in the same household.

Roy was a 1956 graduate of Polk County High School, a member of Oak Grove Church and Community, living for many years just behind the church. He was involved with the little league football and baseball programs and coached as his sons grew up. He had many good friends with whom he and Erlene enjoyed camping, boating and traveling. He worked for Hardwick Stove for 43 years and retired as a supervisor from Maytag. After retiring, he volunteered with the Polk County Food Bank, People Helping People and the Candlelighter's Fun Day, spending many hours preparing the "gingerbread house".

A fall resulted in a head injury with other health complications, and Roy was not able to get out much his last two years. He was a much valued and loved member of the community, and will be greatly missed.
