He graduated from Denfeld High School in 1961 where he competed on the swim team. He then joined the U.S. Air Force for 4 years and was stationed in Texas and Alaska. He worked at Lakehead Water Testing, the Post Office for 37 years, and delivered flowers at Peterson Anderson for 13 years as his retirement job. David loved his family, talking to everyone anywhere he went, playing cards with his poker buddies, and playing fantasy sports. He always had an entertaining story to share and was a wealth of knowledge. David is beloved by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Alice Jacobson; his father, Russell Jacobson; and his brother Richard Jacobson.
David is survived by his wife, Genie; daughter, Joey Jacobson (Matt Haney); sons: Damien (Jodi) Paulson, Travis (Bridget) Paulson and Paul Schrader; step-daughter, Diana (Frank) Simmons; grandchildren: Jalen Paulson, Noah Paulson, Rocco Paulson, Cordell Paulson, and Tai Haney; a great-grandson; and his brothers: Larry Jacobson and Alan Jacobson .
