Formerly of Gaines Age 90, died Thursday, April 5, 2012 at Cumberland Village Care in Tennessee. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Steve Wood officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Visitation 1-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Emerton was born in Ogemaw County, Michigan on March 4, 1922, the daughter of Charles L. and Myrtle Mae (Miller) Sischo. On July 26, 1941 she married Louis Emerton, Sr. and he preceded her in death on March 14, 2002. Mrs. Emerton retired from Kresge after 25 years of service. Surviving are son, Louis Ray, Jr. and wife Charlene K. Emerton of Pinconning; daughter, Bonnie Sue and husband Bill Dunning of La Follette, Tennessee; grandchildren, Crystal Dunning of La Follette, Tennessee, Melissa Dunning of Birmingham, Alabama, Lisa and husband Ron Housley of Davison, Michigan, Lori and husband Rich Thomas of Simpsonville, South Carolina, Louis Emerton, III and wife DeLynn of Burton, Michigan; great-grandchildren, Ronnie Housley, III, Olivia and Meredith Thomas and Madison Emerton; several nieces and nephews.
