Bradley Bailey, 37, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2019, at his home in Ankeny.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 13, 2019, at St. Paul Lutheran Church (1100 SE Sharon Drive Ankeny, IA 50021). Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services at church. Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Des Moines. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bradley’s name.

Bradley Steven Bailey was born April 11, 1981, to Steven Bailey and Lynnette (Lonergan) Dengler in Cedar Falls, Iowa. He graduated from Hudson High School. Bradley was united in marriage to Sarah Thompson on April 25, 2009 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ankeny, IA. He was currently working for the city of Ankeny Parks and Recreation Department.

Bradley will be remembered by those who love him as a compassionate man with many talents. He earned the title of Eagle Scout during his many years in the Boy Scouts, loved fishing and being outdoors in general. Brad was a talented artist and very creative with his many paintings and drawings; he was also known as the handyman in the family, always lending a hand to whoever needed help. Bradley also had fun in his free time doing Civil War re-enactments with his father-in-law. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ankeny, as well as a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Fraternity at DMACC where he attended college.

Bradley is survived by his wife, Sarah; two children: Abigail and Noah; mother, Lynn (Ken) and father, Steve (Pam); siblings: Lisa, Amelia, Amanda and Patrick (Ann); grandparents, Marilyn and Marvin; mother and father-in-law, Jane and David; along with other family member and friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Vivian Bailey.
