During her early womanhood she married Mr. James C. Furlow. To this union four children were born. After his death she married Mr. Horace Parker Sr. To this union six children were born. To help support her Family she was a domestic worker until she was hired by Thomaston Mills in the Spooler Department. She worked there until the mill closed. During her leisure time she enjoyed fishing every chance she got, and watching the Young and The Restless until her eye sight begin to failed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons, Horace and Bruce Parker; three sisters, Francis Walker, Annie Mae Cloud and Cecil Sledge; and two brothers, Floyd Cunningham and Buster Cunningham. On Sunday, February 24, 2019 she quietly slipped away from the people that she loved and those that loved her. She will long be remembered by the ones she met along the way with laughter. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who loved her.
She is survived by eight children, Mrs. Lavern (Charles) Flowers and Mrs. Laurine (Powell) Thornton both of Thomaston, GA, Ms. Annie Maude Furlow of Cleveland , OH, Mr. Eugene (Earnestine) Furlow of Atlanta, GA, Mr. Larry (Clementine) Parker, Sr. and Mr. Harry Parker both of Thomaston, GA, Mrs. Eleve (Lonnie) Wilder of the Salem Community and Mrs. Cynthia (Robert) Walker of Thomaston, GA; 29 Grandchildren, 36 Great-grandchildren and 24 Great-grand-children, and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
